Pill & Pill’s History

Richard “Rick” Pill began practicing law in Martinsburg in 1977. A few years later, his brother, David “Dave” Pill joined him and the two founded Pill & Pill PLLC in 1982. Rick and Dave focus their legal practice on Real Estate, emphasizing residential settlements, commercial settlements and foreclosures. The firm continued to grow along with the eastern panhandle, and in 2001 Elkins native Amanda Steiner joined the practice full-time after interning at Pill & Pill, PLLC throughout law school. After several years spent as an intern at Pill & Pill PLLC, Matthew Leonard joined the firm full-time in 2015. Jonathan Wertman jointed the firm in 2016 after starting his career at other law firms.

As a firm, Pill & Pill PLLC and its staff have dedicated their time, mentorship, resources, and support to pour back into the communities they have resided and worked within.
